I know Comcast didn’t blame their massive subscription loss on Hurricane Harvey, right. WRONG, the delusional cult leaders at Comcast are still having trouble admitting American’s are sick and tired of subscribing to overpriced cable; who in their right mind wants to pay hundreds of dollars each month for lies? Not me, I haven’t subscribed to cable in years.
According to this CNBC report: Matthew Strauss, executive vice president for Comcast’s Xfinity services, said the company expects to report a loss of 100,000 to 150,000 subscribers during the third quarter. Strauss blamed competition and Hurricane Harvey for the losses and said it’s the “most competitive quarter” in recent history.
Another Wall Street huckster was brought in to calm market jitters after the stock declined almost 7% on Thursday. Thomas Eagan, a senior research analyst at Telsey Advisory Group, thinks: “The market has overreacted here. It seems more emotional than anything else,” Eagen said. “We don’t quite know much about the decline that the company mentioned today, how much of it is because of the hurricane and how much of it is because of competition.”
These damage control clowns will say anything to stop investors from pulling their money out of Comcast. Grab the popcorn, because it’s only a matter of time before the cable TV industry collapses just like the music industry.
