You have to admit one thing about Democrats: They have hypocrisy down to a fine art and they are extremely good practitioners.
Case in point: The Donkey Party is all up in arms over a report claiming that President Trump asked the Ukrainian president to investigate a business deal involving his country and former Vice President Joe Biden’s son Hunter, but the same Democrats couldn’t have cared less that Hillary Clinton and the DNC tried to get Ukraine to give them dirt on Trump or that Obama misused foreign intelligence services to spy on 45’s campaign.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the latest fake ‘scandal’ involving President Trump goes something like this:
President Trump in a July phone call repeatedly pressured the president of Ukraine to investigate Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden ’s son, urging Volodymyr Zelensky about eight times to work with Rudy Giuliani, his personal lawyer, on a probe, according to people familiar with the matter.
“He told him that he should work with [Mr. Giuliani] on Biden, and that people in Washington wanted to know” if his lawyer’s claims that Biden acted improperly as vice president were true, the people said.
If true — and it’s a big “if” given the mainstream media’s penchant for publishing fake news regarding this president — so what?
Did Hunter Biden break U.S. laws in making his deal? Did Joe Biden improperly use his influence to ensure the deal got done? And if so, isn’t all of this something the American people deserve to know, considering that the elder Biden now wants to be president?
There is also this: According to the same ‘person’ quoted by the WSJ, Trump didn’t offer any quid pro quo to the Ukrainian leader and did not hold out the prospect of providing more U.S. aid or withholding any.
In other words, it sounds like the kind of thing a president might ask a foreign leader in the normal course of things, especially a president who was screwed over by the Deep State and who was victimized by both U.S. and foreign intelligence agencies who were engaged in a soft coup attempt known as “Spygate.”
If anything, Trump would be well within his rights to exact a little revenge on these people since the “Justice” Department thus far seems incapable of holding anyone accountable.
But let’s review, shall we?
As The National Sentinel reported, son Hunter managed to land a sweet big money deal in Ukraine while pop was busy threatening former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in 2016 “that he would see to it the U.S. withheld $1 billion in American loan guarantees, which would have bankrupted Kiev, if he didn’t fire Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin immediately.”
“I said, ‘You’re not getting the billion.’ I’m going to be leaving here in, I think it was about six hours. I looked at them and said: ‘I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money,’” Biden says he told Poroshenko during a bragging session sponsored by the Council on Foreign Relations.
The official was indeed fired. “Well, son of a b***h, he got fired. And they put in place someone who was solid at the time” – which is diplomatic speak for “someone the Obama administration favored,” Joe Biden said.
In fact, the pressure was applied for months — spanning 2015 and 2016, not just in a six-hour timeframe, The Hill’s John Solomon reported.
Solomon noted that, according to banking records, Rosemont Seneca Partners LLC, Hunter Biden’s U.S. firm, “received regular transfers into one of its accounts – usually more than $166,000 a month – from Burisma from spring 2014 through fall 2015, during a period when Vice President Biden was the main U.S. official dealing with Ukraine and its tense relations with Russia.”
That is what Trump wants investigated. And why shouldn’t he?
